Welcome Evening for Participants / SUNDAY MAY 5 – by invitation
Each year, Creative Matakana participants who are doing our longer workshops enjoy complimentary welcome drinks and nibbles. It’s a chance to meet your tutor and fellow participants, soak up some creative vibes – and get excited about the week ahead!

This very popular event is always a lot of fun. It’s a traditional part of Creative Matakana – delicious food, award-winning beers and local wines, in a convivial local environment. Sit down, eat together and share stories of new skills learned! There are certainly never any awkward silences from our buzzing participants and tutors. Partners are welcome (but please no large tables of friends who are not directly involved with Creative Matakana).
This year we’re excited that it will be held at Brick Bay’s beautiful Glass House restaurant.
Arrive at 6pm for a complimentary mimosa or non-alcoholic cocktail, and from 6.30pm, you’ll enjoy shared, family-style platters over three courses – artisan breads, olives / dips to start, a choice of lamb, chicken with seasonal vegetables for mains, and a range of delectable sweet treats to finish. There’ll be a glass of wine, juice or soda with dinner included.
GF and vegetarian options available.
